Some people may describe Pearl as outspoken. Her no-nonsense attitude undoubtedly shines through when asked about her thoughts on natural beauty and the aesthetic industry.

“We should STOP comparing ourselves to society’s standards of beauty…All races, body shapes, hairstyles, and even stretch marks should be socially acceptable. Let’s do away with outdated beauty standards. When we do this, we can empower both men and women to be themselves without the fear of being judged.”

It’s easy to fall into the comparison trap thanks to social media. Pearl shares that celebrities have similar insecurities from time to time. Still, that doesn’t remove someone’s right to privacy.

“Celebrities and non-celebrities alike deserve privacy about their cosmetic procedures. Nobody should feel forced to disclose personal decisions. Celebrities are people, too. Just like us, they grapple with body image issues and self-esteem…”

Young or old, male or female, we can’t deny that there are parts of ourselves that we’d like to improve upon (I could certainly use a facial!). But how and where do we draw the line between being obsessed with our looks vs. simply wanting to enhance our natural features?

“What are your goals? What is your main concern? Do you understand all the benefits and possible risks of the treatment you want? Once you can answer those questions then I’d be happy to give you an effective assessment of which procedure suits you best. This is how I maintain an honest practitioner-client relationship.”

“…I believe in the psychological connection between the concept of beauty and self-confidence. Beauty makes you feel good.”

A Sustainable Outlook on Beauty and Business

When asked about how she feels about having a ‘popular’ business, Pearl laughed. She said she doesn’t believe in being trendy, as all aesthetic centers right now are still trying to keep their heads above water.

“…We just want to stay focused on our goals. I want to provide our clients with the best quality service possible, put passion in our craft, and continuously improve ourselves to be better, so more people can be #basharafied!”

Pearl acknowledges the gap between the high demand for aesthetic services and the lack of information about available cosmetic procedures. Yes, you can get lash lifts, facials, and laser treatments quite easily nowadays. But if we’re not cautious, we could encounter some inconvenient issues. Pearl and her team aim to fill this gap by adequately informing their clients about the various procedures (and appropriate aftercare) as well as being open to inquiries.

“We shouldn’t just work for money. There should be a passion, too. Our main objective should be to deliver optimal results and satisfaction to our clients.”

Her almost obsessive attention to detail coupled with her expertise makes her a silent force to be reckoned with in the industry. Though she’s only getting started. This working mom of two seems to have endless energy as she switches from business to home life every day.

“…As much as possible, I try to personally engage and interact with our clients, not only on social media but also whenever they come to visit. I make sure all their concerns are addressed.”

For Pearl, this has always been more than a business.

“I think I just have to put my values into practice and discover how I can make a difference…”
